Hi all!

I've recently completed my Lion of Babylon diorama - WIP ( HERE )

Its been a long project, and I've had a lot of things happen in my personal life during its construction, so this diorama served as a reliable and stable part of my life during those times.

I wanted to go for a pre-Kuwaiti invasion time frame for this piece, so i didnt have too many bullet holes, or a defaced mural on the wall.

Thanks for looking!

Steven,
I followed your WIP a bit and was really thrilled by it. The end result is spectacular.

I hope you take it to a show so that people can see it up close.

Absolutely beautiful, full of details, I love it!!!
If I may just suggest, since the tank is on tarmac, make track scratches on it behind the tank for a final touch.
Once again, stunning work!!!

Thanks, glad you like it! Good eye, there are indeed no scratches as I'm still deciding where it should be positioned (its not currently glued down).

Thanks for following the WIP mate, much appreciated! I'd like to get it out to a show, but there arent many here in Melbourne, Australia. There is one annual show, but I missed this years, maybe next year!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to take a look!

Very cool build Steve .
What I like most is that you built a dio of a region in the world that has a pant load of sand everywhere you look and replicated it by convincingly placed sand everywhere you look .
Very cool little details everywhere also .
I'm not a T72 expert but your build is excellent on the tank too .

Thanks! Really appreciate it, and I'm glad you liked the dio! I struggled to put what I felt was the correct amount of sand, not too much or too little. I had quite a few reference pics and it seemed some spots were fairly clean, while others were totally covered in sand so I aimed for a safe middle ground.

The tank was probably the most ambitious model ive ever built, being based on an older kit with a bunch of aftermarket.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to look at the diorama, its very much appreciated!

Outstanding! Nice overall finish but the realistic look of your T72M-1 does it for me.
Based on your back story, I'd venture to say this one will soon become a nice juicy target for the invading air forces.
I've yet to check out the WIP but nice job dude!

Cheers
