I would like to share my work on a Tamiya T-72M1 painted up as an iraqi vehicle. I know this isn't the most accurate of kits, but I just wanted something fun to build OOB. I misplaced the co-axial machinegun and its cowling when building the kit. Ah well. Would appreciate constructive criticism and comments on the build. Thanks folks!

Nice build. I suggest you add some soot under the exhaust and give the metal cable a more metallic look.

Thanks mate. Really appreciate it. The soot was actually one of the last things I was considering adding. I was just a bit afraid to overdo it. As for the cables, would rubbing gun metal pigment suffice?

I was there. Looks authentic to me. I would suggest (based on how the photo looks) to lighten the smoke launcher covers just a little.

The exhaust can get pretty dirty. This one shows allot of oil mixed into the soot.

lovely reference photo. Thanks for sharing. I might have to mix a bit of oil streaking with the pigments to replicate that.

You Did A real Nice Job on this Old Tamiya kit, the areas that could be added is the Hold Straps for the Un-ditching Log, and picking out all of the Optics in Gloss Black !! This kit Lends itself Wide Open for A Ton of extra details that are not included in the kit. A Good reference for T-72s is the ASAD BABIL that is available on the net.

Nice work! The Tamiya kit ain't so bad at all. The turret might not be correct but an after market turret don't come cheap. As you asked for advise I miss the hoses that connect the fuel drums to the tank. Tamiya included the hose material in the kit.
Markings are rar on Iraqi T-72s so if you find pictures of such a tank with this configurations and markings you may can add them.
There's a lot more you could add or replace but that's too late at this state of build. The rest was already mentioned by others.
