I want to make Otto Carius's tiger 217. I will use Rye Fields mid tiger. I have the correct gun mantlet from dragon but I went to the ATAK site for some zimm and noticed that many of the photos were not coming up. The photos showed which kit the zimm was for. What would be the correct zimm set for ATAK or if you know, Cavilear? I know there were different zimm patterns on the tiger tank. I know there are some on this site that has realized this and know the pattern that matches tank 217. I had some great photos of the tank when he was photographed in the turret looking at a map but they have "vanished" into the cloud. If you have the link to that set of photo's that would also be quite helpful. You could easily see where the zimm on the front of the tank had been damaged.

Is this the set you mean?

The zimm shows a lot of damage, you might consider making it yourself with fe Mori Mori putty and a roller.

Thanks for the info on the ATAK zimm. Those are the photos. I had found some that were a reasonable resolution and drawing out/ cutting out the damaged areas looked doable.

You're welcome, enoy your project.
Btw, Alpine miniatures makes a nice figure of Otto Carius.

Great information, especially for those of us not "up" on these details of history. Thank you.
