Just posting this to see how many people bother to check EVERY single thread regardless of whether the title makes any sense at all or even comes close to describing the subject being discussed.

For even suggesting that a title SHOULD somehow relate to the topic at hand I am flamed as being the GRAMMAR POLICE!

Guilty, in my defense it's easier to check a thread then finish a model.

Second, I think the user as a bunch do to with it. There is a few that it doesn't matter the title I will check out. If Jerry Rutman has a title like "brown chicken, brown cow" I will check it out. Same with you, it might be interesting even it ain't my thing.

Well-- here's the deal, I surf modeling web sites like Kitmaker about once or twice daily because I'm a truly addicted modeler since I retired. The fact is, yesterday, Hobby Boss and Trumpeter released their 2019 catalogs, and Zvezda released its catalog the day before. So in the defense of those who might have connected your "ooh ahh" title to a new release, or a recent Xmas present at this time of year, your title selection of "bait" wasn't really the best choice right now. You'd have been better with a more applicable title -- perhaps "red herring" or "can of squelch". "Ooh Ahh" implies you've found something interesting, so yes you got me and probably other unsuspecting "victims". But while discussing this "topic" it might also say something about the two of us-- we both must have way too much time on our hands-- you for taking the time to create a spurious subject line, and me for taking the time to respond to it
On the other hand, this is one of the things I love about Kitmaker-- our ability to have fun with other Modelers around the world! Happy New Year!

I looked - could be a new release "Ooh, Aah" or a Happy New Year type of post ie. Fireworks "Ooh, Aah". Only takes a second and a click back if it's not interesting!

I check every post, because I realize that I don't know what I don't know. This is a very good way to bury someone else's post, as well.

Ofcourse i check it, can be something interasting ..
But i have notice something sad here the last time, that some threads nobody almost not looking at or answering on if it's not special people that have started the thread.. It's like it is a closed group... It's not only here also on forum like missing links.. Luckily it's not like that on most facebook groups yet..
But that is my opinion..

I think it depends more on the contents of original post.
Some of my posts have remained unanswered even if many have seen them. Sometimes there isn't much to reply on, like the thread about 1/16th scale Ready-To-Run RC truck model, it looked like a Ural 4320 but there wasn't much more to say about it. For those not interested in 1/16th and/or not interested in radio control it was very uninteresting.
Some other of my posts have been more open for replies, posing a question or asking for advice, well, unless I ask something that nobody has an answer for.

Chris and Russ - you are absolutely correct; I should have named it "Red Herring" as the title "Ooh, Aah" is far too exciting and appealing! It just exudes the possibility of something new!

To Chris Fish; I really would have been Oohing and Aahing if it had been the announcement of a Mack NO. But you just wait as there may be some good news on that front as this new year draws to a close. (Sorry - don't ask.)

p.s. Yes, I agree. It WAS Steve Martin!

Robin would you care to change the title of this thread to "Red Herring"? You certainly have my permission if you so choose. It would keep the point going for a little longer.

I don't read every post or every thread, not even close. Who cares if people do? What difference does it make if people don't?

Sometimes though I will read one based on the title and author, sort of as a "There's that idiot again. What kind of moronic crap is he posting this time?"

Present company excluded, of course.

Here I was expecting to see some kind of red fishlike aircraft, armor, or something.

All I find is some rant about some thread I skipped over the other day.

Where are the grammar police when I need them??

I forgot to add in my comment that I don't check every heading title-- only those that I think might interest me. In fact, I only use Armorama to access the Kitmaker network because I'm basically lazy-- of all the Kitmaker sites, it's easier to type "Armorama". So, I'm lazy, I'm old and set I'm my ways, and I hit the titles that I think "might" interest me. "Ooh Aah" just sounded like a really "comfortable" title to me, so I hit it out of curiosity. Imagine my surprise when I saw "Red Herring" pop up a few minutes ago-- I just couldn't resist "clicking" on it! Can't wait for the next installation, whatever it will be! You got me again! But you know, that's why I like this site the most--the ability to discuss modeling, while at the same time having fun. Oh-- and sign me up for that new Mack NO kit that will be coming out next year! 😉
