Hi guys - I am thinking of getting started on my Meng Cougar 6x6 MRAP. I am struggling a little bit with the antenna and turret configurations. I have done some research and think I understand but wanted put it out here in one spot and make sure I have it down.

So if I understand correctly, both the US Army and the USMC (among a few others) used the Cougar. Here, I think are the configurations for each:

If I want to build a US Army version then I use the OGPK turret and can use the CREW DUKE and Rhino antennas.

If I want to build a USMC version then I can use the OPGK turret or a MCTAGS turret and I have to use the Warlock antenna with the standard whip antennas. If I understand it correctly the USMC doesn't use the rhino or the CREW Duke equipment.

I can't find any evidence of these antennas being mixed either.

Do I have this right?

Thanks
Mike

I believe cylindrical Duke antennas can be seen on USMC vehicles,

I don't know for the new Duke antenna with a rectangular shape.

Thanks Terence.

These Cougars have the TAK4 suspension, do we know if the earlier "original" suspension Cougars could be configured this way as well?

Thanks again
Mike

Hi Mike,
I can't help with the suspension. Maybe one of the resident experts can help.

Here is a USMC Cougar 6x6 with the DUKE antennas, MCTAGS turret and SPARK mine roller.

Here is another USMC version with the DUKE antennas and the OGPK turret. It also has the gyrocam.

Here is a US Army version with both types of DUKE antennas and the OGPK turret. It also has the gyrocam.

On this picture, this is not a SPARK mine roller but a Panama City mine roller.
