Ok,
I've asked questions about painting my vignette.
So now I would like to know now my vignette has been painted in the stone colors,I would like to know how do paint steps to look like a carpet is on them?
I was thinking that since the carpet is a red color,I would paint the steps a dark red color but I'm not sure if it's going to look like carpet in 1/35 th scale.
Any suggestions would be of great help.
Thank you.

To be honest, simply painting the steps to give the impression of a carpet will probably result in the appearance of red-painted steps! The better option would be to paint a strip of paper or thin cloth in the desired colour, cut it to the required width, and lay it from top to bottom (keeping it flat against the treads and risers. The carpet can be secured either using tiny amounts of PVA white glue or a strip of double-sided tape.

Yeah painting weathering the paper is best, and even making some creases or tears can make it that much more realistic.

Model Car Garage carries flocking materiel in various colors that auto modelers use to give carpets and seats texture. It might be an alternative way to go.
