They're okay but I can't help but feel that the guy in the sheepskin coat has a slightly pudgy face. I figure any time spent on minimum rations in a cold environment tends to slim one down. Nervous tension naturally helps too. I'd accordingly replace his head.

On the other hand the hippos ROCK! I just haven't a clue as to how I'd use them in a dio...

A good friend of mine sculpted this hippo in 1/35. It could make an interesting piece in a diorama:

If you could source(or scratch) an appropriate figure, the hippos could be used in a "Tarzan Makes War on the Nazis" kinda dio.

KIDS! WE NEED MORE KIDS!!! How many times have we seen the poor kids in WWII photos and newsreels that have been caught up in the miseries of WAR??? Or, for that matter, kids of ANY era or time of war would be entirely appropriate...
MORE GIs and TOMMIES, PLEASE! And, as an afterthought, the Japanese Fighting Men of World War Two have been distinctly under-represented... The Germans weren't the only combatants during WWII...

REAL people come in ALL shapes and sizes, my friend... The "pudginess" that you mentioned could also mean that this guy is a relatively "new arrival" in this Winter environment. Actually, I posted some comments a few days ago about this very subject- We could use a PLETHORA of "pudgy" people, "FAT" people, old people, skinny people, tall and short people and UGLY people. I fail to see why every single figure HAS to look like someone out of Hollywood's Central Casting... Don't like the face on this guy? Replace it with a HORNET Head- HORNET markets a bewildering array of different heads for just about any situation...
