Walk in cooler for a bar somewhere in Hawaii 1940's . Don't know weather I'll make it a shoe box type build or an open build . The portholes are 1/33 scale Artesania Latina [ sp ? ] .

I got a (suspect) spare hooker I could mail you, the first tram passenger that failed the audition - more than enough to start a bar fight. But hey isn’t this going to be a fourth dio going on the workbench at once? And I thought I had problems with attention-sp

Well it looks like my son has been screwing around with my avatar AGAIN , first he had me as Tim Conway , now I'm Spanky McFarland !!!!
He also taped two black eyeballs on my Burma idol , thought he did it with a sharpie , I was gonnna choke him .
If he wants to have a prank war he's messing with the wrong 66 year old kid . I switched letters on his key board , changed his car radio presets , and put wood shavings in the toes of his socks ..... game on !!!
Ski , Tim , thanks guys .
Tim , yeah four or five builds going on , I'm like cow pies on a dairy farm , I'm all over the place .

Sorry for some multiple pics but I'm checking out some new camera settings .

SPANKY McFARLAND!!! YES!!!

One of the ultimate 1930s "wise-guy" Kids!!! Him, and Matthew "Stymie" Beard!!! I love the "Our Gang" comedy shorts, right along with the Laurel & Hardy shorts! They just DON'T make that kind of stuff any more...

Maybe you could put up a tiny "photo" of Spanky on one of the walls in your dio..? Kind of an "inside gag"-type of thing..?

GREAT WORK!!! I'll be following this, too!

PS- I just turned 66 back in January, so I can fully relate to the "sawdust in the socks"!!!

Thanks Doc , much appreciated !!!
Dennis , excellent idea , early 40's late 30's movie posters , and of course some Our Gang stuff , well that just made the list , thanks man .....

Yeah my son and I get into these prank wars every once in awhile and right now it's game on , It might be over the top and animal abuse , but I really would like to give his friggin cat a mohawk . Just kidding I kinda like the little [auto-censored] . I just walked down to the bay though and netted two minnows , they're going in his room somewhere .

Since they are minnows, inside the curtain rods.
Nice progress on the diorama.

Very nice progress indeed.

As for pranking, I like to take a screenshot of the screen my neighbor in the JOC is working on, and paste the image over his working screen.

This is cool Cheyenne, very original.
And the possibilities are endless in
regards to adding the figures, right?

This will be one to follow

Cheers

Thanks guys much appreciated . The prank tips too !

Well the guy that owns the bar has a side room where he shows movies for the service men that frequent his bar 24/7 .
Went through the spares boxes and culled out anything that looked like I could make a movie projector with .
Hopefully it's a reasonable representation of a projector for a back room in the bar .

Took some bottoms from oil drums for the movie reels .

That's Hope and Crosby's first Road movie , 1941 Road to Zanzibar .

Thanks Jerry !!!
After looking at all the pics , the reels look a little to beefy , one of the reasons I take a lot of them . What looks one way on the bench can look awfully different in the pics .
Once placed in a side room in the bar hopefully it'll look ok .

I see what you mean but the side views don't show the thickness hardly at all.

Cheyenne-- pretty neat great progress (except for that leering Nazi!) I've been following your progress, which looks great so far, but I have to agree about the movie projector-- it's just a little to "beefy" for a backroom projector, and that wedge shaped part in front is a little out of place for a 1930s era projector. Also, most of the projectors I've seen from that era (yes I'm old enough to have seen some-- even owned one when I was a kid) have the lens positioned so the film reels pass the film behind the lens, and in front of the bulb, not over on the side.
