Are there any aftermarket kit/upgrades for Tamiya's British LRDG Command Car? I have the North Africa version without the 20mm gun and didn't see off hand any upgrades for the kit other than piece mealing from the spares box. I found Eduard PE set 35251 and Archer dashboard dials 35329. Are there any resin wheel updates?

Hi Greg. Yes there are resin wheels from Tank Workshop (TWS 0088), DEF DW30005 (both of these sets have 6 wheels - 2 spares) & Mastercasters MST35001 (only the four wheels, no spare in this set and maybe the TWS ones?) but no sure if they are readily available.

There are also Panzer Art RE35-356 and RE 35-355 although I do not know how many wheels are in these sets.

There are also several sets of stowage made for them, such as Panzer Art and Value gear but generally very expensive.

Thanks for your suggestions! Sprue Brothers has the DEF wheels (thanks again) in stock and the Archer transfers. I am starting the hunt for Eduards PE. It would be great to make the crew brewing up some tea out in the desert.

Shop

More affordable are the Def models wheels, and Black dog sets (althought these have some minor mistakes.)

We have a fairly comprehensive list of modeling products for the Tamiya 1/35 LRDG Chevy Patrol Truck on our Warwheels 1533x2 Truck index. You can find it at the bottom of the index after using this link to go to our page: www.warwheels.net/LRDGchevyINDEX.html .

I should have thought of that Patrick.. I go to the site enough. You might want to up date it with the few options missing, mentioned above.

A link that works:

Yeah, I was definitely going to update the listing based on input here. And thanks Peter for providing a correct link. I fixed mine too. Cheers.
