Id like to find out if the Eduard #36254 pe kit works for the Hillbilly version of their gun truck kit # 6513. Or is it only for the earlier 6503 version.

Also, is the "new release" M978 tanker actually an upgrade on the earlier version or just a rebox?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Thanks Frenchy.

I used this pe kit on an M923 but I was wondering if there are any big variations between what works on the 923 cargo wagon and what would/wouldnt work for the Hillbilly guntruck (havent got to opening the Hillbilly kit yet).

Once again, thanks.

Judging by the parts included in this set I guess it would work with any M923/M925 kits, whatever the version...

A PE set is useless as long you don`t correct the issues of the size of the cargo bed and the front fenders. The ancient resin kit from Airmodel was far better.

Every day's a schoolday! One of the more experienced modellers on here did an upgrade from the Italeri M923.

Did he address the points you raised above?

I don`t think that anyone here realized that.
The cargo area of the M923/M925 is 4419mm long and 2438mm wide. The front fender is 2497mm wide. Dimensions are from an old BMY document. A far more better investment of money is this:

The kit contains just new rims and vinyl tires. If someone want to build a correct M978 he has to mix it with Trumpeter HEMTT truck kit.
