This may be a bit obscure but I’m trying to figure out if the M41 was ever issued to the 11th ACR in the 1950’, USAEUR specifically? I’d guess it would have been for a very short period of time.

According to this other book , the 11th ACR was deployed in Germany from 1957 to 1964. IIRC, the M48 started replacing the M41 in 1958, so there would have been a few months reprieve for the M41...

11 ACR did not have M41 in Germany but only in Fort Knox when they were a training unit. The unit transitioned to M48 when they replaced the 6th Cavalry on the border. According to service memoir of a Black horse tanker in 1957.

Sixth cavalry probably had them as they were in USAEUR before the M41 were taken out of the units on the border in the mid 1950s. It was doubted that they could take on T-54 in tank to tank combat.

Armored division's of the period had M41 in a cavalry unit in brigade HQ.

That’s what I read in the pages Frenchy linked to. Thanks for confirming that. 6th Cav it is when I finally build one.
