I like both tanks. It looks like Tamiya's big kit has a 2A4 turret with add-on armor. What other changes would need to be made to turn it into an accurate 2A4?

Thanks. Lee

Besides the addon armor there are two visible major differences between the A4 and A6. The first is the gun barrel. The A6 was the first tank which was equipped with the extended L55 while the A4 has the old L44. So you would need a shorter barrel.

The second difference are the side skirts (expect the armored elements on the front). While the A6 has skirt elements with straight lower edge (D-Technology) the A4 has kinda wave-formed covers.

There are also some smaller differences like the the reverse camera for the Driver etc. but those are easy to Change.

Not to forget the older drivers hatch, different turret rear, PERI sight in front of the CO hatch and the different housing for the gunners sights. Good luck in scratching the whole turret.
