PE 35987/88 etc are the kinds of sets that add so much and cost so much in nerves and personal sanity. Metal origami indeed.

Oh, and by the way: does anyone out there know of any manufacturer that offers shells and casings for a 128 FLAK 40? Takom disappointingly only provides TWO shells in their Zwillingsflak set. Two. Talk about thrifty.

Check out BoldDivision. It recently released a resin set for 12.8cm
FlaK 40 casings, and I recall it having an option to have Schatton Modellbau shells bundled.

Thank you Tat, I checked it out, but while the product is First Class, the costs are unreasonably high and the shipping and taxes for a non-resident are equally quite steep. Paying over 40 Euro to get a small assortment of brass shells and a few resin crates (which I can't even use on a Flak tower dio!) is simply w-a-a-a-y too much. I rather doubt that the hundred grams that the package involves really costs over ten Euros to ship overseas. Ouch. The search goes on.

I'd be interested to see if the mounted light base for the other side of the mantlet is included in the German IR set.
With the Battle for Berlin book having new (new to me) photos of IR capable panthers in the fighting, that would be a useful addition to the set.

I'll keep an eye out for this one.
