I figured I'd post and let you guys know I'm working on a M2 barrel with the BFA attached to it. I have to figure out if I can print them myself, or if I'll use Shapeways.

CAD images to follow shortly.

I've ordered a test print from Shapeways. I should have it within 2 weeks.

Now, IF it works, I'm going to sell them myself (in small quantities) as well as in quantity on Shapeways.

At this point Shapeways will have them in quantities of 8/16/24/32/40 With the price per barrel lowering based on the quantity.

More to follow once I get the test print.

NOTE: printing myself, thus far has been unsuccessful.

A BFA for an M2 barrel is already available from a Spanish company doing 3d printing. FC Model Trend kit 35539.

FYI

Have you considered printing the end plates and attaching them to a kit barrel with wire or styrene rod tie rods in between ?

They list it as Sold Out for some time.

I'll look into it as well. Options are always good.

The BFA is looking good.

Any idea if you could design/print a set of about 8-10 1/35 modern tank towing pintles. They look like this:

They would not need the wings on either side of the shaft, nor the bolt on the end. Just the flange near the pintle end as the shaft is to be inserted into a hole in the mount.

Second is a long shot, but probably (hopefully) doable. I would love a printed rear frame section to convert the Hobby Boss Delta Force FAV into a SEAL FAV (like below).

I have some better drawings I can send you if you want to move forward with it.

Look forward to seeing how those come out. I'd be interested in picking up a couple for future projects.

The test print from Shapeways printed without issue, they should be arriving over the weekend.
