Or you could find some pre-teens to make some up for you. It's basically a version of 'slime' the kids make as a craft/toy thing. It can be made in different levels of viscosity and is much less expensive.

I tried Silly putty - but found it really awkward so gave up on using it. I guess it works for some people...

the AK/Ammo/etc... the black one is actually Theraputty the putty used for hand therapy after injury and stuff like that, every color have a different firmness, the black (X-firm)is the more firm of all,if you buy that instead "panzerputty" is cheaper and come in bigger tub... ...because is for hand therapy is not oily

What you want is Theraputty. Same stuff and usually a lot cheaper. Come in different stiffnesses. The black is the stiffest and matches Panzerputty.

Thanks for your replies. I am going to order some. I read a build and the writer was very happy with the results so I am willing to give it a try.

Don't leave the putty too long on the surface ... it will sag into small recesses and holes ... a nightmare when using PE parts ;-)

Cheers

That's what happens with Silly Putty - it pulls off small bits of PE!
