Hi All,

I found & then lost some pictures of panzer IV’s with field modifications with flak verlings, I am hoping to find the one I lost, which had a flak verling mounted down in the empty turret well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

The vierling cannot physically be recessed inside the turret well, its just too big.

Maybe you are thinking of this Wirbelwind without its shields.

or

Dragon's Panther D with the vierling which is only slightly
recessed.

I believe there is also a model of the T34 with a vierling
but the gun also sits on top of the hull.

I have never seen a photo of the actual Panther D or the T34 in that configuration.

There is a photo of a Stuart with a flak mounted on it.

Dragon also makes a Hetzer with a single 2cm, now that is inside the hull
as the top is completely removed.

Photos of real vehicle and model:

Cheers.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply & the link!! It is the Wirbelwind without the shields, I had just never seen a turretless one with gun mounted & assumed it was a field modification.

Cheers
Mike
