Hi all
I just need to paint the antennas of my Shot Cal to call it complete. Someone on another forum told me there were a thick white one and a thin black one.
Is this correct for a Shot in 1982? The period pictures do not show the antennas colors well but my poor eyes tell me the antennas were a single dark color.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a Shot Cal Dalet

The left antenna is the thick one and the right antenna is the thin one (I think command vehicles had a thin and a thick one, regular vehicles had 2 thin ones). The spring mount on the thin antenna is white and sometimes the antenna itself could be white. The thick antenna is black color.

This is a Gimmel showing the white antenna spring

A photo showing a white thin antenna on a Gimmel:

This phot clearly shows the black left antenna and its base:

Safest option: Thin white antenna and thick black antenna.
other option: Thin and thick base color antenna with white and black bases/springs respectively.
third option: two white thin antennas with white spring bases

If you look for photos of Merkavas of the same time period you will go crazy, they have thick white ones, thick base color, thick black, thin white, whatever was available most possibly...

Just my 0.02$....

actually the colours are probably, us olive green for the dark antenna and base or 'light' sand grey for the base with natural fibreglass colour for the antenna,or any combination of the above mixed

I don't know about the Sho't, but present time thick antennas are off-white (including the spring-section and the base), the thin ones are usually dark green (sometimes half green-half white or even all white) with the base painted in the main color.
Some of the 1982 Shot'ts t might've followed this pattern already.

Thank you all for your input. I'll go for a white antenna on the right side and a dark green for the left one.

I think that's a pretty safe bet.
