Hi gentlemen.

I've been out of modelling for a while but now I have a new project on my mind. This will be a diorama where a Special Forces ODA and some Devgru elements wonder about what it's supposed to assault.

I'll be working on a building made of cork and a GMV plus an ATV for Devgru.

I have already started with the building. Walls are already painted and weathered as the inner walls.

Pics

That's all I have done by now. I'll keep working on the building until Santa leave the GMV under the tree.

Regards!!

Hi Nacho

You may get more feedback posting on a different host site like Imgur.

Only people who paid the extortion money to Photobucket will see your pics otherwise. Everyone else just gets a blurry watermarked view.

Actually, if you pay for Photobucket, only your pictures are w/out the watermark. Other users who have not will still have their pictures come up w/the watermark. I paid what I think is a reasonable price to host my hundreds of pictures that were already on Photobucket, but can still not see his pictures clearly.

Even now? Odd, I think his new photos were posted before your post. At any rate, I've been able to see them for the past few hours, whereas last night I could not.

So guys, could you see the pictures now that are stored at Imgur?

Gov't firewall is blocking all pics, so I didn't realize he had reposted them. When I saw them last night, they were still w/the Photobucket watermark.

My main point though, was that even if you pay for Photobucket hosting, you still can't see pictures from others who have not payed.

I like the idea. If it turns out as well as your team house dio it'll be a good one.

The idea also has merit. We go through a procedure called MDMP, or Military Decision Making Process. It's supposed to be done at battalion level and above, but ODA's have done it themselves since I've been in. Basically team members come up with course of action (COA's) and then choose one based upon certain criteria they've chosen. They put it through a matrix, weigh each criterion, and make a decision based upon the results.

Here's an example:

Back in the day it was done on butcher block paper. These days usually on a white board, although butcher block still works fine.

However you portray it, instead of COA 1, etc., you could write them out: 1 Laser from Space, 2 Direct Action, Ground, and 3, Direct Action, HELO, or something similar. You get the idea. And yes, laser from space was suggested once in the brainstorming session. It may lead to other ideas like lasing the target. Rule #1 for SF - respect every idea regardless of rank.

Thanks, Rob. Interesting info. I'd take into account for my games.

This weekend I have built the upper floor and put the stairs on its place. The roof will be collapsed, so that's because the upper floor is full of sand.

Looking really great so far brother.

I cant wait to see this come together, the building definitnely has the right tone.

Question; I'm working on a project right now that requires me to build a small cottage and I'm researching material. I really like the look and usability of what your using but haven't been able to find any. Any tips or links on where you get this cork? I'd appreciate it.

Hi Nate!!

Thanks for your post. It´s still a long way to go, but I´m glad you like it.

I got the cork in a Chinese bazar. I´d have wanted it to be thicker, but they had no one.

Well, here are my last updates on the building. I have made some debris and some broken beams. The stairs are completed.

View of the front façade

And all the stuff I have received. Four figures (I have 2 more to come) and the M1025 (courtesy of 18Bravo)

Now that Christmas time are finished, I hope to advance faster.

Cheers!!!

I see Yu fan Models is still using other companies stuff and selling it as their own. I went over and looked at their stuff and in the comments of one of the Special Forces figures, he has Live Resin pictures but is boxing the stuff in Yu Fan boxes.

Check this one out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Legend Productions figure with just a different head and selling for $8.62. WOW

Sorry for posting on your thread Nacho, but its not right for others to steal peoples hard work and selling it as their own.

Hi gents.

I've been very busy lately, but I could finish the building yesterday. It's my first try on a ruined bulding, so it could have been better.

I have to finish the rooftop's railings, some curtains, and done.

Now I'll start to paint figurines. The humvee has tomwait as I have to buy the Legend Productions Dumvee lit yet.

Happy weekend!!

Just a quick update.

A new guy has arrived at home. He's called Micro (my airsoft's team gunner's nickname). Bought at BNA, just one week to arrive to Spain.

Let me introduce him to you

Cheers!
