Greetings!

Here's a video from the latest Militracks where I was given the opportunity to ride in an amazing and super rare WW1 Renault FTS from The Weald Foundation!
I totally wasn't in tears at the end! 😂😍

If you are going to Militracks I hope to see you there this year!

That is awesome, was the tears of joy or pain with the lack crew comforts?

Question, there was a wire going from the turret box to the top of the sled. Is that part of the radio or an aftermarket piece to hold the sled up?

That looks like a lot of fun! I'm jealous!

Watching you climb in showed me just how tiny that tank interior is! I've seen one in real life at a museum, but all buttoned up. It didn't seem THAT small!

It really is quite cramped in the interior!

It is a grounding wire for the radio antenna.

The FTS is surprisingly not cramped, I am the same size men used to be back then and quite honestly I have been in worse spaces in tanks of the same country and later period where I very nearly got stuck inside.

The one downside is that to look through the hatch you need to have a leg resting on the seat and another standing up so was a bit... hard to not risk my fingers being caught by a falling hatch because I had very little places to properly grab myself especially when the vehicle wobbled on turns.

At the end... more space than even a cold war RU tank!
