I’ve been wanting to build one of these for a very long time.

I’m considering buying the AFV kit and kit bashing one with a donor M4A3, primarily because it already comes with a metal barrel and also because I’ve read it’s the best detailed between it an the Academy one.

I just want one for the shelf it doesn’t have to be pro, should I just get the Academy kit instead? I have enough in my spares to probably build two complete M4A3 so I don’t really need to buy the academy and besides I’d be able to source the hull from the AFV kit to build a prime mover but I’m not terribly interested in building an M35.

I probably would’ve pulled the trigger on the academy kit but I’ve heard it’s inaccurate and was cobble together using the old academy M4A3 hull with sunken welds etc...

I’m not interested in working with resin ATM, I justI don’t want to spend that much. Any feedback I can get on either the AFV turret or the complete M36B1 Academy kit would be greatly appreciated as it would help me to finally make up my mind, TIA

Yes, I’m familiar with that kit.
