After Stalingrad, through the ruins we set off for Berlin

Awesome diorama, you can tell an incredible amount of work went into it. It reminds me of a diorama in an old AFV magazine. I could only dream of building something of this quality.Thank you for sharing with us, and best regards...........Dale

One question ... What and where do you display it ? It looks it has a big footprint, and I bet that's not your first big Dio you have put together...okay, 2 questions lol, how long did it take to complete ?

John,i make a wooden box with a plexiglass in front,and then i put the boxes,one on top of the other,like a library .....second,it took about a month to complete

I love the sense of scale.

It's a nice diorama but I don't understand is it meant to be in Stalingrad or Berlin?
Looks like Stalingrad as the sign hanging is in Russian,but were there any T34/85's in Stalingrad?
I'm sure both vehicles don't fit the time line as the Panzer IV looks like a ausf H.

Just one problem: You have the lettering "ЗАБОД" which does not mean anything.

What you want is "ЗАВОД" for "FACTORY." And to that point, I must admit I am a bit confused too. This is a Battle of Berlin T-34 in a factory with Russian lettering. I am not sure understand.

Stunning work. I like the Russian Crylllc sign and wanted to ask what it was made out of.

However your wonderfully done late model T-34 complete with panzer faust bed spring armor solidly places it as a Battle of Berlin vehicle. The crushed panzer (equally well done) is consistent with Stalingrad.

So I guess the question is the intent to invoke both battles and keep us historically fixed minded people guessing?

Thanks for the comments and as truthfully as I can explain that the diorama does not represent a scene from the Battle of Stalingrad,but shows a tank,production 43,passing by a destroyed factory,on the way to Germany.The fault in particular is first the bed frames (which I humorously excuse) what the crews had been informed about the conditions of the battle) and second the title that can really confuse you, but I wanted to have a title that tells the transition from a possible disaster,to triumph.As for the panzer4 ,that's what I had,that's what I put,as a compromise(?),not to bury a good kit, not forgetting that in my country we have the famous economic crisis ha. The Crylllc sign ,the correctis is "ЗАВОД, as observed by George, was made by foamboard

Stunning work Dim, some of the best ruins I’ve ever seen. As for the twist – (what I saw as) a 1945 T34-85 on top of a ruined 1942/3 Stalingrad factory - normally I’d be calling out historical inaccuracy but not this time. I don’t think you need to justify it, it’s so symbolic as is - sandwiched between those two tanks are 20 million+ Russian dead.

I can only imagine the amount of strain you put the tweezers through while assembling the rubble-heap!

Dimitri it was previously stated but "WOW!"

For me this is diorama art, beautifully balanced. And what a great way to portray the massive Red Army's "Stalingrad to Berlin" journey - The Victor and the Vanquished.

Now that you've explained the concept, this really works and has incredible symbolism. The invader crushed under the might of their very own final objective. (In the first days of Nov '42 6th Army was in control of like 90-95% of Stalingrad and "only" the factory district was remaining to be taken from 62nd Army.) You've chosen the word Factory instead of any actual factory names: Barrikady, Krasnyi Oktiabr etc. which helps to simplify matters.

The German Army's overall workhorse of a tank seen in every action of the war utterly buried under the destruction of an equally symbolic object: the Soviet Factory. And sitting on top of it all is the perfect symbol of the Soviet's monumental success: A Berlin-'45 model T34/85 and everything that it represents. BRAVO

Very well done Dimitri kudos for thinking outside the "box". I truly enjoy this project, and thanks for your efforts.
