I plan on building a small 1/35 Russian hut"Izba"and i'm stuck to what diameter in mm that I should buy.
My head is saying around 5mm is about the thickness of a 1/1 scale log.
Any ideas?

Hi, Karl

With math being my kryptonite I ran it through the handy-dandy scale converter, 5mm in 1/35 comes out to 175mm in the 1:1 world, or 6.88 inches. You're not far off in your estimate, I wouldn't go smaller than that or too much larger, no more than maybe 6mm (210mm, 8.26 inches). But that's just my opinion, YMMV.

John that's brilliant info.I did look at some examples and counted the number of logs and most have around 11/12 logs high, that's around 8cm's and the door height being about 6cm's just a wee bit bigger than a 1/35 figure.

Thanks again.
