Hello..trying to plan a diorama in Stalingrad...does anyone know what the streets were made of, Brick, Cobblestone, Paved, Concrete? I believe it was a "newer" city.....so maybe paved or concrete?

I cant seem to find any information online.

Thank you in advance,
Eric

Jacuin is correct when he says there were a lot of cobblestone streets. There were also a lot of dirt streets. So it kind of depends on where in town you want to be. Down around the famous department store and the train station, a lot of cobblestone. In the suburbs and around the workers residences near the factories, a lot of dirt.

I have 3 or 4 photo books of Stalingrad during the battle and I was surprised at the amount of dirt roads actually.

Good video, I remember watching it years ago...but like most History channel shows it has a big mix of war footage...I saw alot of Kharkov..and later war winter uniforms. I realize they need to fill an hour show so need lots of different footage.

I remember one show that was about the invasion of Poland...and they were showing Panther and Tiger tanks...lol.
