It's nice to finally see this coming. I have coverage of this and the water tender in my new HEMTT book from Trackpad Publishing.

I just dropped a chunk of change on a Trumpeter HMMTT, the Black Dog TFFT conversion kit and the DEF Model resin wheels. I've got them unwrapped on my bench right now. I don't know whether to cheer or cry!

I did exactly the same thing in late '19.

I may cry during the build, knowing theres a styrene version!

The resin wheels will fit the new kit too ...

Depends how good Black Dog researched. I have the strange feeling that both kits share the same mistakes.

While I'm not normally much into modern-era equipment this is one that might tempt me that way! What a huge and magnificent vehicle.

"huge vehicle" ??
Not compared to the SS-20 ...
even the Pukguksong-2 is bigger
TFFT: 320.5mm long and 103.5mm wide
Kims little toy: 362 mm long and 102.5 mm wide and probably taller too ...

Still stuck on that comment about Kim's threat to the rest of the world? Hint: he's obviously overcompensating. He also seems to enjoy having others killed on his orders. 'Nuff said? In the mean time, the subject of THIS review is the M1142 which is a large and interesting vehicle with little in common with Kim's desires for world domination. Or a part in a Bond movie. Or attention. Plus it can haul away broken-down vehicles such as Kim's buggy. One point for American forces.

Looks like this is available now. It is showing up on eBay and at Asian suppliers.

The really cool part is that it is on a standard HEMTT frame (a first for Trumpeter, I think). Maybe an M977A2 cargo, M985A2 MLRS Ammo Carrier, or an M978A2 Fueler are in the works. One can only hope.

Maybe be cautious of some fleabay offers. A seller has this listed for $75 and the only image is a picture of the box art, not the box or, as they often do, all the sprues opened and laid out for review.

I always wondered why they didn't make this TFFT into a Cyber-truck, C5ISR truck, or drone command truck with more modifications. The US Army and USMC could use an armored shelter truck similar to the Russian 6X6 Tyhoon-K if the FMTV isn't modified to accommodate.

Since this has been out a while, has anybody started theirs yet? I broke down and got one. The Black Dog resin conversion will be sold at the next Armorcon.

I did Matthew.
It's a nice kit out of the box, but if your like me and like to pull out all the TM's, it's then missing a lot of stuff.

Some tools are wrong and some tools are missing.
It is missing the control arm in the cab for the roof water gun.
All the seats are wrong. The should be made to seat a fireman with a oxygen bottle on his back.
Rubber fasteners are missing from the rear ladder, Crew cab hatch, and water control covers.
