Hi everyone,

With Beer Flu messing up earlier plans, I found myself with plenty of time to build. I bought Takom's full interior Panther G w/ steel wheels and generally, it's a solid kit

I've been having problems with part A5 - 1 and A5 - 55, the floor plate and suspension cover.

Does anyone have experience with the kit? What did/would you do here?

Thanks guys!

Is the floor plate meant to curve?

It's hard to get the assembled floor plate to fit without it bending the other parts.

Maybe you can watch some video's on YouTube or look for some articles on the internet. I'm sorry but I can't really tell my personal experience. Since I've never ever before done full interior kits. But I'm planning to. Hope you will find some solution, wish you the best of luck with your build. And sorry that I can't help you any ferther.

There are a number of very detailed Takom panther build logs on Track-Link that may be helpful:

A5-1 shall be flat, no curve whatsoever.

Check if there is anything on the inside of the hull side which might help keep A5-1 straight. Try to bend it back into shape (straight).

The sloping cover sticking out from the left front corner of A5-1, to the left in your first image fits over and covers some kind of shock absorber cylinder on the inside of the hull side. The "foot" of it rests on the floor behind the drivers seat.
Should hit the floor behind the vertical support sticking up through/behind the floor under the drivers seat, the part that the cover is pushing forward in your photo.

Hey, thanks to all of you.

I just cut the cover off and bent the floor plate into shape.
