Hi: I have what I hope is a couple of innocent questions. I know that last month the major toy/hobby show in Japan was canceled, and I assume we're going to see this continue for 2020. What I'd like to know is what has happened to the new releases the various companies planned to announce at that show, and others? First, will the companies release the stuff and just announce it other ways, or will they hold off until next year? Also, if a piece is released, is the shipping situation (global) at the point where things can be distributed widely? Thank you.

for the most part, the whole world is on pause. people are working from home when possible. i suspect that until things go back to normal, there will be very few new things.

Its funny,when I moved from NJ To NC a couple of years ago,I thought I'd seen the last of Taylor Ham,but the big super market chain carries it here.

im not sure what taylor ham is, but i do love some of that pork roll

LOL, for all the arguments I've seen on stuff in this forum, NONE surpasses the age old debate between Taylor Ham and pork roll. If you have no idea what we're talking about, when it reopens go to Frank's Deli in Asbury Park (Main St) and find out for yourself.

i grew up 5 minutes from asbury. i miss the area, i live by princeton now. really i know what taylor ham is. however, the taylor ham vs pork roll is a running thing on nj101.5 radio station. they say people from north jersey say taylor ham and central and south say pork roll

Well, it does say Taylor Provisions Company on that packaging so buying one of these is actually 'provisioning' and that's what quartermasters do so it is definitely military stuff as opposed to grocery shopping done by civilians ....

From what I understand, it will be a short barreled J. I have only seen the 3D render, so I am assuming it is probably a ways off. The recent Academy kits have been pretty good & at a competitive price point, cheaper than Dragon. I would like to see more alternatives to Dragon on the market.

Salt is the only taste in Spam. You cut out that and you can really taste the pig parts they use in Spam. My mom used to take a block of spam, rinse it, slice it thin put it in a baking sheet lined with paper towels with more paper towels on top then nested another baking sheet on top of the spam and paper towels. She would put cans of food on the top baking sheet to press out the excess moisture and salt. After about half an hour they'd be ready to fry. They were delicious, the overpowering salty taste was gone and tasted faintly of bacon.
Matched very well with poached eggs, hash browns and sourdough toast. I always took a flat of Spam with me when I deployed.
