Hi, all. I'm wanting to convert Tamiya's 250/9 back to a regular 250/1. Any thoughts on how to do that? Any aftermarket items or articles to help??
Thanks in advance!!

The Panzer Tracts book on the 250 series would help. I’d also suggest getting hold of the instructions for a Dragon 250/1 Ausf A, which would give you an idea of what goes where.

Hello John, I have a MR Modellbau conversion that I bought to use on a Dragon 250/1, but it's designed for the Tamiya kits. Would you be interested in just doing a kit trade? PM me if you are interested. Wayne

Hey, Wayne. Thanks for responding. Not sure what you are proposing. I bought the Tamiya 35115 250/9 because a review (Scalemates) said it could also be built as a 250/1. I though it ould have parts for both variants.
Not so! This is only te 250/9 with turret, gun, and pedestal. No alternate floor, stowage or seating.
So I still want just the basic 250/1 (would also take 250/3. So I guess I'm back in the market unless your Modellbau item would fill the bill. Please advise - thanks again.

John, I was wondering if you just wanted to trade your Tamiya for my Dragon kit straight up. that way you would have a 250/1 and I could use the Tamiya for my conversion. Let me know. Wayne

Hey, Wayne. Thanks so much for the offer but I'm going to pass. I don't like Dragon kits due to complexity and lousy directions. All of my vehicles go into dioramas (in this case Kharkov 1943) and the mud, snow, and ice really means the complicated tracks are just not worth the effort.
I would be happy to sell you this kit BUT I'm 72 and undergoing chemotherapy. Can't leave the house to go to the post office.
Warm Regards,
John S.

No problem, good luck on your project. I'm 68 myself, so know what you mean about getting out and about. Take care. Wayne
