What the…I thought for a second those were photos of your build so when I realised they weren’t the bear said it for me. Anyhow you can’t just throw those bits on the workbench without telling me/us what they are, you got a doody man! Great start though

LOL , doody , I see what you did there .....

The plaster architectural stuff is from Dioramadebris molds .
Block , fancy round stuff , rectangular slate roof tiles I'm using for the wall block .
Doors and windows are from the Miniart building accessory kit .
Don't know where the bear came from .........

Maybe I need an earlier night, didn’t notice you’d already posted those shots on the conservatory thread until just now Thanks for the notes, reason I asked was I thought you might have been casting your own. Let's just be grateful it wasn’t a bear in the air

Once again, you're off with a great start. Will you also do the interror, or only the outside?

That is really something man! Great stuff! I assume the "dagger of death" we see over on the right is used if a project does not meet your standards?

Hi Cheyenne,

Truly outstanding work, this elevation is coming together a treat, .

Will you be constructing all four elevations on this one?

Always cool to see the architectural embellishments that you source.
This will really fit well with your greenhouse.

Morning Glenn I forgot you’re an early riser – 9.30pm here. Yeah I just asked Ski the same thing in my thread, so it’s on Tracklinks? As for the roof I think the technical term is shingles, something else I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy

Yeah check TL , Ski's work is fantastic !!
The real ref pics are of a French gatehouse circa late 1700's I believe .
So chances are the roof has been redone many times .
Kinda looks like small slate to me ?
If you look closely the gatehouse is actually two different structures . The one has a brick chimney on what looks like an attached building behind the one gatehouse . The other pic is different . When researching this the gatehouses stand on oppisite sides of a long wall fronting the chateau grounds .

OK yep small slates, wooden shingles would be pretty unlikely. Maybe the chimneyed house was lived in by a staffer & the other was just for symmetry, except that one has flower boxes suggesting also inhabited. Do you know where this place is in France?

Nice place looks like my weekender – you could always put the stables in the background, they’ve got the same funky roof line:

Really nice .
love the new wall part (White plaster ) with ornaments
If you don't like doing the slate shingle's
you could do zinc roofing as seen on many 19th century French building.
