So decided to try my hand at a diorama. It's going to be a house warming gift for my brother-in-law. I wanted to make it wall mountable so between that and the kit itself that's the reason why it's so large....more to follow soon

these are part of the kit for the dio...it's takom kraz-260v w/trailer and t-55amv

gotta say for my first dio I feel pretty good about it so far...comments and critiques welcome

That is awesome, man!!

One question: When you say "wall mountable" do you mean like a shelf or will the vehicles be perpendicular?

That's great! The edge of the pavement is really believable.

Wow, what an awesome looking Dio, your base is out of here, love that you are doing the KRAZ Tank Transporter with load. Good work.

Thanks everyone!!! yea by "wall mountable" i meant a shelf. My in law is a gamer and i figured it could grace his wall in his game room. Oh and he's half Ukranian half Russian so I figured this would be right up his alley...

Big is Good, Big is Right & welcome to the right forum Calvin. If that tarmac & edging is anything to go by this is going to be a beauty, very nicely observed & executed. Looks like the Kraz needs some dusty weathering though…talking of which is there a DMP (dust-management plan) for this wall-mounter, like an acrylic/perspex box? From personal experience the giant-spider cobwebs never look quite right

Thanks guys! Yea the black top edge was simple yet a PITA!!! The road itself is actually corkboard with mig"s asphalt texture spread over it. I got the edges of the road with a pair of tweezers....plucking away down down the curved back part was easy enough, when i got to the long straight stretch is when it quickly became a test of patience lol. Anyways got a little more done so enough talk and onto more pictures!!!

those were earlier today and these rest are after wrapping up for the day

I've dusted the road up a bit and did some oils splashes/spills...I'm starting to think I should call it here with the base...let me know what you guys think and thanks again

So....I was going to post again last week but Tuesday night storm isaih decided to put us in the dark for a while and even after the lights came back on the internet did not but...one great thing about this hobby is the patience it teaches you lol. Now everythings back on and I've made some progress so here goes...

I'm getting pretty close to wrapping up the weathering I think. Now I'm just waiting on a tie down set from accurate armour and a couple of figures from live-resin...I'm psyched now more then ever with it being close to done!!!

Sorry for the delay but this is still happening!!! I had to take a bit of time due to a family loss but things have calmed down and I'm diving back into this dio. The 2 excellent figures from live resin came (thanks Yaroslav!!!) and I've made some progress...

First dio, looks great so far, figures are coming along well and the rigs are looking good. Hey, where did you get the guard rail sections, did you make them or are they kit?

Cheers, Ski.

Nicely done! I'd got for position #1, so people can focus on the middle of the diorama.

Regards!
