Hi Staff members,
Can anyone please remind me how to add photos in my account here? Judging by the 5 things I got there I must've known it at one time, but completely forgot.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Not sure if this helps, but if you go to the search bar near the top of the screen (ringed in red on the image below) and type in something like 'uploading images' you should find a number of guides from various people which might help answer your question, .

Cheers, ,

Perhaps an updated "Idiots' Guide" which I sure could do with; heck, I might even try and post something if it's made simple enough(!)

It's gotta be me, but -
in spite of following Darren's instructions in his post of june 2008 to the letter, hitting the "submit" button just produces a computer that works for hours (literally) without a result.
Seems I really need an Idiot's Guide.

The photo gallery at Kitmaker can be sensitive to the size of the image and the storage space is limited.
I suggest using imgur instead.
Uploading images is a simple drag-and-drop and then copy the BB-code link and past in the Kitmaker post.
The difficult part here is to remember to insert one or two blank spaces in front (i.e. to the left) of the image link in the post.

Fred - I think Peter is trying to upload an image (that is too large) to his own Kitmaker Gallery.

Peter - You've gotten all the way to "Upload/Submit", so it sounds like the image (file) you are trying to upload into your photo gallery is too large. Robin describes this.

Try to resize each image that you are trying to upload. There may be built in image apps in your computer system to do this.

Thanks all -
But my hobby is building models, not learning computer tricks.

Yeah, for actual build and model photos, I use Imagur to store all my photos and create albums, then I simply hyperlink or add them the conventional way using the [img] button below.

What I can't for the life of me figure out, is how to update or add my profile picture. I did it long ago, but wanted to update with a more recent picture. I know I must upload it to the member galleries on kitmaker but it simply doesn't show up. That system needs to be updated, it's not very easy for those of us who don't have a lot of experience on this forum formats.

I'm good on uploading and updating my build posts, but its the profile picture that's driving me crazy.
