Looking forward to this kit. Wish they would bring out the 260's and 261's in 1:35 as well. (I'm fumble fingered enough in 1:35, let alone 1:48!)
While on the topic of German recon, a 263 (6 Rad) would be nice to fill a gap in German vehicles.

Nice companion to the 'A' that Bronco put out a while back.

Ive read that there was one of these or the A model in NW Europe, used by one of the field Marshalls. Do you have any idea of which vehicle/field Marshall was used? If I find out Ill post here.

I believe the ICM 1/48th and 1/72nd scale 260 kits are based on old info and the turret mesh is quite wrong. The early Doyle plan illustrations ( e.g those in the Panzertracts 13 book which have since been updated in the follow on series 13.1 now that new images have come to light), so if they do release a 1/35th, hopefully they will do more than upsize the current kits.

Italeri does the 1/35th 263 6 rad, so technically that is covered, ..... and yes, it has more than a few warts....

This is one kit I have been waiting for. I just love the 'supercar' look....

Would have been a top contender in 'Death Race 2000', for sure.

Not to be too nit-picky, but the Italeri kit is of the 232 (6 Rad). The main difference is that the turret could not move on the 263, since the radio bedframe antenna mounting struts came down on both sides of the turret. Unless looking closely, it's hard to tell the difference.

232:

231:

263:

The "turret" is welded in place ...
The shape of the antenna was also changed slightly ...

Be as nit-picky as you like Robert - you were right and I was wrong! I forgot all about the different aerial array as Robin pointed out... Need to check my references better before I type...
