OK guys, I've been digging out the Jeep kits (and schwimmwagens, M151A2s, Hummers) and reealized the Skybow Jeeps are the only ones I don't have (current roll call is Tamiya new Willys, old Willys, SAS Jeep, Italeri Willys, Commando Car, Recon Willys, Heller Willys, Tamiya MUTTs [all 3], and even have the remnants of the old Monogram one). Any thoughts on the Skybox M38s?

I do have the BEEP and Patton command car and they are nice, I hope the Skybow Jeeps are the same way.

Hello Sabot;
I know you've posted it long ago, but just now I got curious to see what is behind that NEXT PAGE signs..
And I have to tell you that if you're a jeep fan you MUST have the M38 series from Skybow, they are incredible detailed and if you're (like me) a israeli modeller you got plent of room to work with, I got one unbuilt, but I also have a fellow modeller who made one (on brazilian army collors) and it worth every dollar.
HTH
Cheers!

Jim,
Gave your site a brief once-over (all I have time for right now)... Wow! Some great work there. Is your featured Willys Jeep 1/35??? I looked and looked and couldn't find the scale or the kit maker. I know Tamiya makes a 1/16? kit of this right? Anyways either way that is one awesome model! Of course if it is 1/35 I am just going to pack-it-in and stay in modeling retirement. Lol.

Jim,

Thanks for the compliments! That's Tamiya's 1:35 Willys MB (new tooled) on the front page. I have a link to it on the Gallery Page. I built that model for my Father-In-Law, he drove that type in the Battle for Okinawa in WW II. Gave it to him for Christmas 1998. He passed away in 2000 and Mom returned the miniature to me. He really liked it, kept it on top of the TV while he watched John Wayne movies - again, and again, and again...

Jim, can you build the recoilless rifle version as a regular Jeep? I've got one coming but I had wanted the plain Jane Jeep. I'm hoping that the RR one has all the standard Jeep parts and the rifle and windshield are just a separate sprue.

Rob - sure can. The RR kit comes with a separate sprue containing the split windshield along with the parts for the basic M38A1
