Well I found most of my surviving built kits. They are in worst shape then the last time I saw them. Apparenty glue doesn't like the passage of time anymore than I do. I took some pics of the more presentable ones and put them up in the gallery. Please don't laugh. These date back about 12-14 years and I was young and still not too interested in historical accuracy.

I would definately like to start a new project and see how my years have made me wiser (and better). Yeah...that's the ticket.

Jim, not too bad. Heck, some look darn good!
Yes, build one now so we can see what a couple years of added wisdom does.

Thanks guys. I will try to post a few of my old super-dio. I am afraid that got more attention then some of these kits did. Unfortunately I didn't take great pics (Polaroids - yuck), but I did take some cool video! Now if I can just figure out a way to transfer VHS to AVI or MPG.

Pictures look good Jim. What's the origin of that deuce and a half? Heller kit?

I found the old box that has some of my old kits that I built in college (15-20 yrs ago). I may think of posting some of these kits, after a little touch up

Rob,
That's an Italeri kit. I take it they don't make it anymore?

Can't say that, Italeri always recycles its molds
I believe it is OOP at the moment, and I do recognize it now.

Wow ! Jim, actually I think their pretty good.
I love to see what you could do now.
"Lets see " - 12-14 years ago - That means you should be 12-14 times as better !!!!
Also may I add, That I'm really glad you emailed me about this forum of yours - IT"S EXCELLENT !!
It's nice how you could get back in to your post and edit it, and all the other features that this forum has , and others don't - make it unique.
YOU DID A REAL HEADS UP JOB JIM !

Ralph,
Well thanks very much. I'd like to think there is still some talent left in these 36 year old hands. I always figured I would unpack all my models someday and get back in. I just always thought it would be when I was 50! hehe

My problem is I dream too big. What do I mean by that. I was thinking of a diorama I would love to do the other day. A dragon wagon loading up a captured panther. I saw a pic online of the actual deal. So let's see... Dragon $100 (ching) Panther $40-50 (ching) Figures (ching, ching, ching...) you get the idea. Plus I have no room for a Dragon dio!

Now...a Sherman crossing a bridge...

Ahhhhh Yes ! " Diorama Daydreaming "
In regards to what you mentioned, it is a task of monumental preparation & cost, and especially TIME.
Yes Jim, I know exactly what you mean.
On another note I'm looking forward to seeing some of your new model projects.
As soon as I get a Dig. Camera, I'll put some of my stuff on.
I have to mention again, that I'm really impressed with all the kool features you have put into this forum. It's a sign of quality.

Greetings to all here. I'm sorta new on the block. I've only been building armor for a little over 3 years. I really love this site. There is an abundance of information here. I would like to show some of my work, so I can get some feed back from some of the more experienced treadheads here. How would a newbie like me go about doing that? Thanks Chris(Tiger1)Carney

Chris - You can send me just about anything of interest for posting to the site. Images and larger articles (tips, build stories, etc.) can be emailed to [email protected]. Other things like reviews, links, and news stories can be sent via the submission pages in those sections. As a registered user for some, which you are.

Thanks for joining up! Good luck with your future projects and don't worry about the 3 year thing. We are all at varying levels of skill here. I still consider myself only a semi-experience builder.

Thanks Jim. I'll do that as soon as I can get around to it. I'm in Pa right now working, but will be heading home to NC tomorrow for a little while. I'll blast them off to you then. I really appreciate the offer. Chris (Tiger1) Carney :-)
