Medal for the Capture of Berlin This award signifies this person completed the Berlin '45 campaign.
The medal for the Capture of Berlin was awarded to all Soviet servicemen of the Army, Navy, and NKVD who participated in the epic battle to take the capital of Hitler's Germany. Over 2.5 million men took part in the battle, along with 6,250 tanks, 7,500 aircraft, and 42,000 artillery pieces. |
Operational Overview
The aim of this campaign is to provide a fitting memorial to all involved in the Battle of Berlin, 1945. Achieving a high as possible level of historical corectness is encouraged.
The scope is:
a. study the history of this battle
b. study city / municipal diorama's The Rules and Regs 1) All entries must be of a Russian or German (or Russian vs. German) scene during the Battle of Berlin 1945 and be located in (or underneath) Berlin.
1-A) Miliatry figures MUST and civilians figures MAY be included in the scene.
1-B) AFV or civilian vehicles may be included in the scene and are encouraged.
1-C) Aircraft may be included in the scene.
2) Only one (1) entry per participant. Entry may only consist a diorama or vignette.
3) Completed entries should be made by the submission of 3 photographs of the completed diormama.
4) Ending of the campaign is set on 8 may. On this day the last fights ended in Berlin.
Contest Element Being an specific operation, only completing entrants to be awarded a medal, design still to be submitted and approved.
