Coming from Dragon Models is another new version of the German Infantry assault gun mounted on the Panzer III chassis.
Dragon Models has announced a Sturm-Infanteriegeschutz 33B. The assault gun was built on the Panzer III chassis and mounted a 15cm sIG33/1 gun. A total of 24 were built, serving exclusively on the Eastern front, with about half of serving during the Battle of Stalingrad. The kit will feature a metal barrel with realistic rifling and DS Tracks. According to Dragon Models USA, the expect delivery date is April 2013.

What differs this one from the two kits Dragon already have released of this vehicle? Cheers Janne Nilsson

Huh! ANOTHER Dragon SmartKit of this rather rare beastie? The previous one, "1/35 s.I.G.33 auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.III(Sfl.) kit 6713" has only been out since 2011, I think! Wonder what the scoop is? Only "obvious" difference I can see, based on the box-art image provided, is that this new kit MAY have the earlier Pz.III hull-tub with those side escape-hatches - which apparently were not provided on kit 6713? Oh, and of course there is the evident later paint-scheme. (But these 1943 post-Stalingrad schemes are mentioned / suggested in the 6713 painting guide). But, whatever. I'll assume that the D feels some compelling need to put out a third kit of something which appeared in 24 total individuals! Maybe they found some awful glitch in their previous which just had to be fixed. Apparently, this new kit will retain that rifled aluminum barrel as provided in 6713, but "give" us the DS tracks instead of those great Magics. Heck, I really LIKE this thing - but that said, I haven't even bought the old Dragon 9xxx kit, let alone the much, much improved 6713 kit! OK. MAYBE I'll have to go get 6713 (DS are not my cuppa). I DO aim to have one of these beasts on the shelf some day! Third time is the charm, so they say Push me to go get one, why don't you, Mr. D.? Bob

Hehe, so perhaps they had some unsued boxart laying around and somebody decided to clean his desk? Cheers Janne Nilsson

GOOD!!! DS tracks and a metal barrel? That's music to my ears as I still have not finished the earlier kit! LOL ~ Jeff

Omg.. Must be a joke... Do they indeed do another one? Is this the 3rd or 4th rendition of this rare vehicle? Dragon... What's the story with these neverending re-releases? Imho this isn't very funny any longer...

I've only just purchased the 2nd release of this machine for my latest diorama. I would love to know what is different because the kit I've got looks pretty comprehensive.
