Coming soon from LZ Models an always handy and need accessory for AFV builds, chains.
LZ Models has announced a new accessory that will always coming in handy, blackened chains. The chains will come in three sizes: very fine – 13 links per cm, medium – 7 links per cm, and heavy duty – 5 links per cm. The chains will also be per blackened, thus no need for painting and come with 50cm per package.

35429 – Scale Chains – Precision Medium Chain
35434 – Scale Chains – Precision Very Fine Chain

another source of chain is joanns fabrics ,9 YARDS of chain for iirc 5.00. they also have a huge selection of thread [cable] under 1.50

Really? 9 yards of super fine (33 links per inch) blackened oval link chain for $5?... Anyway, this product is made in Europe and available here, while that Joann's stuff is US only.

@ Joann's: At this time, Joann.com® does not ship to Quebec. so thank you very much, I'll send my cash somewhere where they like it ;-) I know East-europeans gives excellent services and fast deliveries and they ship to Quebec, Canada.

Sounds OK. But 33 links per US inch (13 / cm) just is not fine enough for some 1/35 applications. I have model RR chain which is blackened and 43 - 44 link/inch in my parts bins. Had to step into a real model RR store in NYC for it, and it cost almost 8 bucks for a yard over the counter, but I have seen this stuff around the web, so... Why doesn't someone market these smaller sizes to the scale hobby community? The stuff IS out there. Just asking..! Bob

arts and crafts store eg michaels. in the make your own jewelry section they have different sizes of chain [metal,plastic] it may satisfy the links per inch gauntlet but you may have to paint or weather them
