Bought the hammer and tank crew through Facebook with no problems. Casting and service was excellent.

I think those mystery brackets on the tank's side are swivel mounts for side armor plates.

They were generally thought to be mounts for Wurfrahmen but a lady says her father told her he saw a Panther being tested with flotation boxes & others being tested with composite (steel & concrete) armour skirts. Those mounts do look almost exactly like the ones on Pz-38t tanks fitted with flotation gear for river crossing.

This is great and all but the important question is where can I plunk down my credit card and buy that turret?!

We always love seeing other peoples work with our products. @ Alex and Ray There are several theories on the go at the moment for those mystery brackets one more plausible then the other but as there is as of yet no direct proof in the form of documents or photographs it is pretty hard to be sure. That said... Floatation devices for Panther. Those things must have been so big it would have transformed the panther into a bridge. @ Pawel Great work on your built. Kylie Thanks for your interest The Hammer for 250 and 251 is a completely fictional design. The idea behind it is that throughout the war the Germans always made mobile versions of most of their guns for greater... well... mobility and speed of deployment. And in that line it is logic to think that they would continue this course of action (think the Waffentrager designs) The set is designed in such a way that it will fit both 1:35 SdKfz 250 and 251 kits from all brands.
