PE is a hit and miss thing for me. The Terminator set looks useful - if I had the kit. Same for the GAZ-66 for the most part, except I'm still fighting my way through four of the Eastern Express offerings. It looks like I could use the windshield wipers... As for the Bradley, it doesn't add enough extra to the kit for me. The ERA blocks in the Meng kit are fine, AND have the proper texture already. Can you see adding texture to all of those blocks? The other main components are already available by Legend, namely the PE lockers and the PE stowage basket, and likely at a significantly lower price. The mesh? It's out there, perhaps not in those specific sizes. I'm sure it's USEFUL, but I usually like to source woven mesh from places like performance shops, heck, even head shops. Voyeger certainly has good stuff-I've got several of their Centurion sets in addition to a few others. The problem for me is paying for a lot of stuff on the frets I don't use.In many cases the PE is either NOT an improvement, or can be better replicated another way. (PE tie down that should have a rounded profile.) Ah. Almost forgot to mention the "circle cutting template." I think it's very useful for the limited times you need to scribe a circle, like for a round hatch or access panel. For actually cutting circles, I have my own method that works quite well and doesn't require that.

Having built the M2A3 kit and used the ET Model PE, I would say the Voyager set is probably superior. That having been said, this is really getting the "last 10%" on a model that's already prettying ****ing fantastic. I think the Voyager set would be better-used on the M3A3 Cavalry version that doesn't have the AC units mounted on the rear, and where you will not likely be leaving the engine hatch open. Therefore the ERA will look better than with the M2A3.

I can't agree with you more on PEs, Robert. Since you mentioned it, could you share how you cut the circles? I have the hardest time coming up with a good technique for them. Thanks. James

My method is sort of a cheat. I cut a rough circle out of styrene with some shears or an knife, larger than it needs to be. I drill a hole in the center, chuck it on a Dremel, and sand it to the diameter I need. Of course, ater that I have to drop some CA into the hole and sand smooth. With accelerator, about a thirty second job, if that.

Couldn't agree more on the PE. I rarely use it as well. I find most items are not an improvement over kit pieces, or I can make them better and more detailed myself from scratch. I see these large PE sets as a waste of money.
