[/quote] Making them thinner with a couple of not-quite-realistic-looking nicks is possible but wearing them to the point shown, with the edges of the block and the internal structure visible and looking like the machine-made parts they are is probably beyond the skills of a human, save a literal handful. [/quote] No doubt, but extremely time-consuming. And I'm an average modeler at best, and would enjoy something where something's done for me that I would have trouble with myself. That's the main reason I guy other AM parts, because someone else was able to create and market something beyond my skill level that I can incorporate into my model to improve it.
