From Red Iron Models, a new Soviet bulldozer will be available soon.
Built by the same Chelyabinsk plant famous for its T-34 production during WWII, the DET-250 first models were built in 1961. While later derivatives were still in production until this year, the model represents one of this initial vehicles.

The Red Iron resin kit will come with photoetch, clear parts for the cabin (which has the interior as well) and workable tracks.

That's what I like about Russian stuff...ugly, but cute, at the same time!

The novelty of this (even though I'm sure there are tens of thousands built) makes it very appealing!

I think 'Utilitarian' fits. Good choice-back in the 90s I won the goalies' stick and a Traktor Chelyabinsk hockey jersey and other stuff when their team came over to play in our now defunct WPHL on a tour. The team was very knowledgeable about the history of the factory that sponsored them; nice guys, but they all had that 'Spetznatz' look...I got to have this kit if only for the memories!
