VBL Milan Launcher

Tiger Model has announced a kit for the VBL Milan Anti-Tank Missle Launcher Vehicle. This weapon has been in service with the French Army from 1987 until these days.

The Panhard Véhicule Blindé Léger (VBL), is a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle built by Panhard. With different versions, it has been deployed on several conflicts like Kosovo, Afghanistan or Ivory Coast.

Tiger Model has chosen the Milan version, which is armed with a launcher and six missiles of this antitank system.

There is no more information about the kit than this photo, but at least it shows a very detailed interior.

Also there is no such thing as "TOW/Dragon system" - two quite different systems... P.S. I learnt to ignore ULIX-VM one-liners... He either states the obvious, or is wrong.

I was wondering... Is this version deployed in Mali or Afghanistan? And, I'm just curious, is there a review of the HB kit? By looking at some photos, it seemed that it has better interior parts. Never saw it in person, but, as I said, I'm just curious.

I found everal pics of the VBL Milan used in Mali, but the launcher unit was not installed. Anyway, another must-have for my French collection.

When on the move the launcher is removed. There is just the retaining device, nicknamed claw, which remains on the roof.

All we need now is a decent crew for the VBL`s. Blast Models??? Hmmm.. Maybe a MIRA thermal sight will be needed also?

Considering the cooling bottles stowed on the rear door, the MIRA should come with the kit. An intesting feature would also be the stowage boxes for the camera and the cooling bottles "charger". Olivier
