Hobby Fan has announced a new kit in resin, a 1/72 model of the amphibious cargo vehicle LARC-LX
With its 19 meters long, the LARC-LX could carry up to 100 tons of cargo or 200 people. It saw combat in Vietnam, and was in service until as recently as 2001.

Even being at 1/72, the kit will measure approximately 26cm long. Other than being resin and these photos with the rear door deployed, no more information has been released.

Hmmm... Run flat tires?? [/quote] definitly not run flats... checked a couple pictures of some in junkyards and the tires actually look melted under the weight of the machine... if I had to guess.. I would say they are held on by rings bolted onto the central hub and that removing a ton of bolts results in the tire being able to be slid off the rim.
