Dzje... Just wondering: every 'cold war warrior', excercizing in B-H or Munster-süd must have known this gentleman and his hot food that brought nice breaks during shooting sessions. I am just amazed that in those days as a young battery lieutenant, standing in line to order, I never imagined that 40 years later I would meet him again as a model!

Wolfgang could get his van places we struggled to get armour . Does anybody remember Claus the Salvation Army red van driver who used to go round the ranges at Hohne? Ate many a bockwurst and bread from him.

Forgive my blatant ignorance, but just what is so different about these great-looking figures that precludes them being on a Challenger instead? Just asking...

Great poses. Is that 70's & 80's gear they are wearing?

The kit covers 3 decades nearly late 60's to 80's. ```combat kit and the parkas they are wearing were green to begin with, early 70's they went to camouflage dpm. Squaddies wore what they could in the cold so the first issue green parkas were worn right through. So yep you could use them on the Chally. The parka hood looks if it needs a trim around neck. They appear to have gaiters on above the boots, these were stopped in the 70's swopped for wrap round putties and into the 80's we were issued high leg boots so some modding required there.

I was still wearing the Parka on winter exercise well into late 80's, cap comforter as well but only at night when in the green maggot, would be handy to have figures with AFV crew helmets and Ski goggles which we were wearing then, but I think Hornet do some replacement heads which could match - that beret is a definite no no!!!
