Modelcollect shares photos of its upcoming MAZ-7911
The Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) specialized in the manufacture of tippers and heavy duty trucks. Among its successful creations was the MAZ-543 that has evolved as a special carrier for missile and rocket systems and may probably be best recognized as the mobile launch pad for the Scud missile. In the 1970s the MAZ-543 design became the core of the modified MAZ-7911 Oplot family of vehicles. The MAZ-7911 is an 8 x 8 vehicle powered by 650hp V12 engine. It is estimated that around 600 vehicles were produced.

Modelcollect kit #UA72064 reproduces the MAZ-7911 in 1/72 scale.

The front part looks resin, this definitely isn't OOB build.

It might just as well be a 3D printed part for first test fit... It's great to see these come out specially in this less caressed scale.

You could be right but this doesn't change picture much anyway: it is not OOB.

I mean these could be printed prototypes for proofing fit and geometry before giving the go for the styrene tooling. That is to say, the kit's development is probably still in its early stages but all this would be styrene in the end.

Whatever it could be, it is a model "in flesh" at least. Not 3D, nor plain boxart like those many posted on daily basis here!

These Soviet-era trucks are sooo cool! Pity about the scale though...Is this the version that they used for mobile ICBM launch vehicles? Seems that I remember a vehicle like this for the SS-20, or was that this truck's big brother?

the white parts are for sure 3d printed for test fitting.
