Vladimir Demchenko announced the new figures of BRAVO-6. One from Vietnam War, the other from World War II.

Both are 1/35 scale and cast in grey resin.
  • B6-35097 Air Cav Officer depicts an U.S. Air Cavalry Officer from Vietnam War. His face shows a great alikeness to Warrant Officer Malcolm Robert Doremus aka Mal, Air Cavalry, at Khe Sanh, 1971. He was said to be the model for Francis Ford Coppola's "Apocalypse Now" character, Col. Kilgore.

  • B6-35121 German Tanker depicts a German tanker in his Panzer crew uniform posed to pee. I can imagine so many positions for this figure can be placed in a diorama

While I would have liked an actual Col. Kilgore figure to start an Apocalypse Now-inspired series the way that Bravo-6 did with Platoon (how about a PBR crew?!?), this figure's beautiful.

I think that the tanker figure is in extremely poor taste. What next, him squatting and taking a dump? No class and I'd never buy one!

I like both, but I do not understand where the problem is, a soldier can not piss? ... or piss in uniform is disrespectful? ... a tank seeing the victims he has made is more disrespectful to one who pisss or does poos, but no one has been scandalized for figures who go to prostitutes. When you go to the toilet at the pub and by accident you see the privates of the neighbor you become red and run away from shame?...

How?? Did German tankers not piss?? Verlinden has had the below set for years and I never heard anyone complaining. Not my cup of tea, but I am not offended either.

There is really nothing wrong with a soldier taking a piss, unfortunately, such a figure cannot be used in a diorama or vignette entered in a IPMS contest, according to IPMS rules. Quote Section F The following are prohibited in competition and may not be placed on display at any IPMS event: There shall be no depiction of excretory functions depicting any human being or animal. Cheers,

Since I don't build for IPMS contests, that is not a concern to me. I build what I like, for me.

The German Tanker figure... Was it Wolf that did one decades ago? The Verlinden did both Germans and Americans doing both. It would make a nice figure in a dio put off somewhere not readily seen. Kind of a figure that comes only as a surprise to someone who takes the time to really look. And the figure can be adapted to another function because urinating is not the only stance that calls for this position. I have a copy of a photo of some Germans driving across Russia where they had to stop to answer the call of nature, or at least one did. The photographer got everyone who was not answering the call to pose by the early war auto, but composed his photo so that he got them on the right and their buddy who was down the road a bit answering the call. If those guys lived long enough to get the film developed I imagine they had a good laugh.

I didn't mean to hit that button! By the way, MK35 has an old figure still in production of
