Following on the heels of its 1/35 scale M727 HAWK Tracked Guided Missile Equipment Carrier, Dragon is offering a more common configuration of the widely used American surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. This time the plastic kit features a towed M192 trailer-mounted launcher fitted with triple MIM-23 missiles.
Being mounted on a single-axle trailer made the SAM system semi-mobile in terms of transportation.

The medium-range HAWK is an acronym for Homing All-the-Way Killer. The US Army introduced the HAWK in 1959. The 590kg HAWK missile had a maximum range of 50km and ceiling of 20km.

Many parts are brand new. Examples include the launcher mount and the two-wheeled launcher trailer.

The launcher can traverse through 360º, while the missiles can be elevated according to the modeler’s wish, just like the real thing. Everything on the M192 missile launcher is rendered accurately.

Since the HAWK SAM system served in a multitude of countries over a wide period of time – including its ongoing use all over the world.

These look interesting, did they ever release the mobile tracked version that I seem to remember from somewhere?

I think you're remembering the tracked transporter-loader for the HAWK. The multi-part system consisted of a radar platform, generator pack, loader-transporter (which was tracked) battery control center and a lengthened 5-ton truck used to transport the missiles and/or loader-transporter. I don't think there was ever a "tracked" launching system fielded. VR, Russ

I think you're remembering the tracked transporter-loader for the HAWK. [/quote] No, he remembers the announcement of Dragon M727 Hawk tracked launcher. The kit is based on a museum vehicle in Israel, which is not a real thing, but there was in fact a real M727, although its service in US Army was very short.
