AK Interactive has a new product to create texture of cast in any plastic, resin or metal part of a model.
It can be used for military, Scify, Gundam or any model branch to create a cast effect only with this acrylic paste. Just extend, work and let dry.

It can be applied several times depending on the desired effect, and tools can be cleaned with water.

My takes are Surfacer 500, or Revell Plasto diluted in Tamiya liquid glue+ old brush. I don't know the price of this, but I guess it is more expensive, than my methods.

Could be,but Mr Surfacer's not cheap either, and not always easy to get for me.

Similar acrylic pastes are available in much larger quantities, and cheaper, in artists' supply shops: LINK

This looks a whole lot easier than what I'm currently doing. Probably less fumes as well. The acrylics/art store angle is worth pursuing.
