OKB Grigorov ventures into British armor, this time featuring the first of a series of heavy assault tank designs made late in the Second World War.
Nuffield Mechanizations and Aero Limited, was a personal enterprise of William Morris, 1st Viscount Nuffield. It developed improved methods for mechanization and mobility of the British Army and the ground section of The Royal Air Force, and was engaged in military production during WWII.

In support of the call for a new class of heavy assault vehicles, it submitted 18 separate designs (AT1 through AT18) between May 1943 and February 1944. Each design larger and heavier than the last -- of these, one was chosen for production. Although sources differ on whether it was AT16 or AT17, it is known that 6 were produced, and has come to be known as the A39 Tortoise.

OKB Grigorov models the turreted version, the first of the Nuffield heavy assault tank designs. British Nuffield Assault Tank A.T.1 (V72061) is offered as a 1/72 kit containing 128 resin and 23 photo-etched parts.

Background information on the vehicle sourced from Wikipedia, Tanks-Encyclopedia, and Tank Museum.
