Seems to have been three different types: British and Commonwealth naval ships had similar solutions: 2-pounder, 4 barrels 2-pounder, 8 barrels 1.5 inch, 4 barrels / Robin

Very good piece, I have that same model, but Customscale resin. The only thing I don't understand is why does it have a seat on the opposite side of the pointer - shooter?

There are actually four different types. All are covered in Nuts & Bolts Volumes 3 & 8, with the kit shown here in Volume 3. These were done as resin kits by New Connection many years ago - one of the best resin kits I've ever built! The so-called Type 2 - not an official designation, but named by N&B for the purposes of differentiating them in their two books.
