Well, if you'd work in the health service like me, you probably wouldn't find ich funny either. I see the sick, I see the one's with fear, I see medics and nurses who work 48 hours without a break. The "if you don't like it, don't buy it" just doesn't work here, sorry guys.
I can safely say that all of us appreciate the hard work of healthcare workers. You save lives, that's a fact. But don't think this makes you a moral authority on the subject of what a company can or cannot do, or how other people cope with these hard times. So stop pretending to be standing on some kind of moral high ground based on your profession. And the "don't buy" works, whether you like it or not. As a consumer the best way to get your way is to vote with your wallet. Again, if you don't like this then stop building instruments of war as it is offending to veterans and civilians experiencing the horrors and losing friends and family.

Phillipe, similar concerns were raised on another board with the creator of the item. Turns out those posters you find so offensive are for preventive measures you've probably seen some of them or something similar since you work in health care. I spent my military and civilian careers in the medical field, too. Just relax, let it go man. If this really bothers you that much reach out to the guy and say something. Do you really want to jack your blood pressure up over 1/35 scale posters of preventive measures conveying information you have seen every day of your career? God knows I saw a sign about proper handwashing in every exam room of every battalion aid station I ever worked in - white with red letters over the sink... Doc

It doesn't work for you; you don't speak for everyone.

if you believe this is about moral authority or moral high ground, sorry, you're wrong, this about how some of us feel and how some of us react in these difficult times.

if you believe this is about moral authority or moral high ground, sorry, you're wrong, this about how some of us feel and how some of us react in these difficult times.
I totally understand why you feel this way, that's fine. Seeing all the suffering and all the hardship one has to go through in the medical profession right now must be soul crushing. And again, I thank you for your and everyone's service in healthcare. But don't let these things impair your judgement. And don't take away other people's way to cope with the threat and stress they experience. If this puts some smile on other people's faces, I say it's worth it. It's not everybody's cup of tea, but just because you don't like it, you shouldn't take it away from others. I for one won't buy them, but if the manufacturer spends all the income generated from these on helping the fight against coronavirus, I might consider. Stay safe!

I'm really not sure where this "don't build weapons of war as it offends veterans" crap is coming from as my chapter of IPMS has a Veterans-build event that we actively support and that the service men & women use to therapeutically decompress after trying rotations and foreign postings. Or when they stand-down and leave the Service. Even my uncle who served in WW2 was an enthusiastic supporter of the hobby and found that the models that we build as fascinating. It was a special thrill to accompany him to contests and I devoted considerable time and money into building kits of favorite vehicles, tanks etc for both him and a select few of his fellow-veteran friends. Unfortunately those days, as that generation, are now over. But we do not build models to glorify war; rather to honour those that fought for us so that we, one and all, can be flaky and enjoy such hobbies as we may choose regardless of the ill-informed opinions of outsiders.

I do agree with you here, one has to keep a bit of an open mind and I try that - but it's bittersweet and there are days you just can not cope with it. it all has dramatically changed since my last posting. I am sure in 5 years we all look at it very differently, but for now, it's just tough. keep safe you all, it's not an easy time.
